§ 22-242. Inspections.

  • The housing official shall make, or cause to be made, inspections to determine the condition of residential buildings and premises within the city in the interest of safeguarding the health and safety of the occupants of such building and the general public. For the purpose of making such inspections, the housing official or his or her agent is authorized to enter, examine and survey at all reasonable times residential buildings and premises. The owner or occupant of any residential building, or the person in charge thereof, shall give the housing official free access to such residential building and its premises at all reasonable times for the purpose of such inspection, examination and survey.
