§ 2-1. Notice of claims.

A suit shall not be filed against the city unless a written notice of the nature and character of the claim which may be the basis of such suit shall first be served upon the mayor-councilman or one of the other councilmen, and the written notice shall be served 30 days before the institution of any suit. This section shall not apply to tort claims within the scope of F.S. § 768.28.
