§ 2-22. Scope.

  • (a)

    The requirements set forth in this division shall constitute a code of ethics establishing reasonable standards and guidelines for the ethical conduct of public officers and employees of the city.

    (b)

    The standards of the code of ethics set forth in this division are intended to be in addition to those set forth by state statute.

    (c)

    If any provision of this division is construed not to rise to the level of the code of ethics required by state statute, the state statute shall prevail over this code of ethics. Nothing in this division shall be deemed to create a lower standard of conduct than that required by state statute.
