Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 70-1. Definitions.
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
Business district means the territory contiguous to and including a street or highway when 50 percent or more of the frontage, for a distance of 300 feet or more, is occupied by buildings in use for business.
Motor vehicle means any self-propelled vehicle which is not operated upon rails or guideways, but shall not include a bicycle or moped.
Residential district means the territory contiguous to and including a street or highway, not comprising a business district, when the property on such highway, for a distance of 300 feet or more, is, in the main, improved with residences or residence and buildings used for businesses.
Right-of-way means land in which the state, county, city or state department of transportation owns the fee or has an easement devoted to or which is required for use as a public road.
