§ 74-122. Equivalent residential connection (ERC).

  • For the purposes of connection charges, users shall be defined based upon equivalent residential connection (ERC) value. All types and classes of users shall be related to such value.

    (1)

    Commercial users shall be assigned an ERC value based upon the following:

    a.

    Commercial user with water meter. For metered flow consideration, the user shall provide authenticated monthly water use data documenting water consumption for the most recent 12-month period. The ERC value shall be calculated based upon the following formula:

    ERC = Annual average daily potable water use (gpd) × 80%
     Sewer usage per single-family detached unit (gpd) 

     

    b.

    Commercial users without 12 months' authenticated water use data. The ERC value for commercial users without 12 months' authenticated water use data shall be calculated based upon estimated sewage flow as defined in F.A.C. ch. 64E-6.008, or subsequent regulations for system size determinations. The ERC value shall be calculated based upon the following formula:

    ERC = Estimated sewage flow (gpd)
    Sewer usage per single-family detached unit (gpd)

     

    c.

    A commercial user shall not be assigned an ERC value of less than 1.00.

    All residential users shall be assigned an ERC value based upon potential usage, as follows:
